The 2026 World Cup is the biggest of all time. 48 teams instead of 32, split into 12 groups of four. That means 104 matches instead of 64 — more football, more tips, more drama.
The tournament runs from June 11 to July 19, 2026. Six weeks of football spread across three countries and 16 cities.
The host cities
Matches take place across the USA, Canada, and Mexico. From MetLife Stadium in New Jersey to the Azteca in Mexico City, from Vancouver to Miami. The time zones keep it interesting — some matches run in the afternoon, others in the evening European time.

The format
12 groups of 4 teams each. The top two from each group plus the 8 best third-placed teams advance — that makes 32 teams in the knockout stage. From there: round of 32, quarter-finals, semi-finals, final.
The final takes place on July 19 at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford. Kickoff expected at 4:00 PM ET — that's 10:00 PM CET.
