The problem with apps
At Kicktipp and competitors you have to: 1. Download the app (or switch to the website) 2. Log in (email + password, sometimes 2FA) 3. Navigate to the prediction round 4. Scroll to the match 5. Enter tip and confirm
That's 30–60 seconds per tip. Across 8 WC days with 4 matches per day → 32 tips × 45 seconds = 24 minutes of pure tipping. Plus browser time.
The solution: Telegram bot
tiptilldone has an official Telegram bot (@tiptilldone_bot). You start it once via deep-link from the website (linking your Telegram account to your tipper profile) — from then on everything happens in the chat.
How it works
Submit a tip:
`` /tip argentina-vs-austria 2:1 ``
Bot replies instantly: "✅ Tip saved: Argentina 2-1 Austria. Confirmed in your round 'Stammtisch Wien'."
Show upcoming matches:
`` /upcoming ``
Bot shows the next 5 matches with current market odds + your existing tips (if any).
Multi-tip for several matches:
`` /tip USA-Paraguay 2:0 Brazil-Morocco 1:1 Germany-Curacao 4:0 ``
Bot confirms all three at once.
Live score during the match:
`` /score argentina-vs-austria ``
Bot shows: current score, minute, your prediction, estimated points if score stays.
Round leaderboard:
`` /leaderboard ``
Bot shows the top 10 of your active round — perfect to forward to your Stammtisch chat as a photo.
Stammtisch mode: tipping from group chat
This is the real killer use case. You're in your Stammtisch group chat (e.g., "Sturm-Stammtisch"). Instead of breaking the conversation to open the app, you can call the bot directly in chat.
@tiptilldone_bot /tip argentina-vs-austria 2:1
Bot reply is visible in chat (or private, depending on settings). Your Stammtisch colleagues see immediately that you've tipped — social pressure included.
What doesn't work (yet)
- Tag management (do on website)
- Premium upgrade (via Stripe on website)
- Creating new rounds (website)
But: 90% of WC tipping time is "submit a tip" — and that takes 10 seconds in the bot.
Setup in 30 seconds
- 1.Go to tiptilldone.com/telegram (or click "Connect Telegram" in your profile)
- 2.You're forwarded to @tiptilldone_bot in Telegram
- 3.Click "Start"
- 4.The bot posts a login link — click it, you're connected
- 5.Tip
/upcoming— you see your first matches
That's it. You can ignore the app — or use both in parallel.
Why Telegram?
WhatsApp is more popular, but limited for bots (no official bot marketplace, Business API costs money). Telegram bots are free, locally strong in DACH, and with nearly 1 billion MAU globally a serious player. Plus: the Stammtisch core groups in Vienna and Graz are usually on Telegram anyway.
WhatsApp deep-links for sharing a prediction round exist separately — see "WhatsApp Deep-Linking" (V1.5 feature).
