Kicktipp Classic: The Standard Scoring System

Kicktipp Classic scoring is the most widely used points system in German-speaking prediction games. tiptilldone uses it as the default — because it works.

How it works

• 5 points — Exact score (e.g., you predict 2-1, it ends 2-1)
• 3 points — Correct goal difference (e.g., you predict 3-1, it ends 2-0 — both +2 for home)
• 2 points — Correct tendency (e.g., you predict 3-0, it ends 1-0 — both home wins)
• 0 points — Everything else

Why it works

The 5/3/2 system rewards both knowledge AND boldness. Predicting "1-0 home win" gets you safe tendency points. Predicting "3-2" is riskier — but with a shot at 5. Over 104 WC matches, this creates real differentiation.
